BACK PAIN RELIEF
Back Pain

Low back pain is one of the main reasons people visit their Doctor. Eighty percent of people will have low back pain at some point in their lives.

Recurrence is very common when people do not know how to help it. Very few people who feel pain in their low back have a serious medical problem. Ninety percent of people who experience low back pain for the first time get better in two to six weeks. Only rarely do people with low back pain develop chronic back problems.

With these facts in mind, you can be assured that back pain is common, that it usually only causes problems for a short period of time, and that you can take steps to ease symptoms and prevent future problems. If you are suffering from pain in your lower back, you may be feeling tension, soreness or stiffness. This pain is often referred to as 'non-specific' back pain.

Treatment

Back Pain can be successfully treated 100% of the time if you can find the underlying cause, rather than just the symptoms. During your assessment your practitioner will carry out a full body assessment to look at your alignment and function (which muscles you use to move and when).

This form of Back Pain assessment not only assesses your back pain symptoms, it also identifies the root cause. For example, the root cause of back pain may be caused by a mis-alignment elsewhere in the body that causes your back to function incorrectly. We treat both the back pain and the cause to ensure symptoms don’t return.

We will explain why your back pain started in simple terms you understand. You will also be left with your assessment form which will have diagrams and details of your injury which you can refer to at a later date to see the fast results you will achieve with SP Sports massage therapy.

After your assessment we can begin treatment which also takes place in your first appointment. At the end of the appointment an outlined treatment plan is discussed which will successfully treat your lower back pain symptoms AND eradicate the cause to prevent re-occurrence of your back pain.
